A mission built around the most overlooked variable in performance
Rest is not a reward for hard work. It is part of the work. We built Fofeyo to help people understand that.
Where the idea began
The conversation around physical performance has long centered on training volume, technique, and nutrition. Sleep appeared as a footnote, if it appeared at all. The evidence told a different story.
Research across sports science, chronobiology, and exercise physiology has consistently shown that sleep quality predicts performance outcomes in ways that training programs alone cannot. Fofeyo exists to make that research readable, organized, and useful for everyday people.
We are not a coaching service and we do not provide personalized advice. We are an educational resource, built to inform.
Evidence-Informed
Content reflects current understanding in sleep science. We do not sensationalize or overstate what the research shows.
Accessible
Scientific language translated for general audiences. Complex ideas, explained without jargon or unnecessary complexity.
Responsible
Educational content only. We are clear about what we are and what we are not. Readers are always encouraged to seek professional guidance for personal health decisions.
Continuously Updated
Sleep science evolves. Our content reflects that. We revisit and revise material as understanding in the field develops.
Content built for understanding, not conversion
Research
Topics are selected based on the questions people actually have about sleep and physical recovery. We look at what is misunderstood, underexplained, or simply unknown.
Translate
Technical content goes through a plain-language process. The goal is precision without intimidation. Accuracy matters, and so does clarity.
Publish
Content is organized by topic so readers can move through it in whatever sequence fits their questions. Nothing is gated. Everything is free to read.
Review
Published content is reviewed periodically. Where the science has moved, the articles move with it. Outdated framing gets corrected, not left in place.
Curious about what we cover? The resources section is a good place to start.
Topics range from basic sleep hygiene to the relationship between REM cycles and athletic output.
Free educational content. Always.
